Before you meet
Don't send money
No money, no gift cards, no cryptocurrency, no bank details. Not once, not for any reason.
Protect your personal information
No home address, no workplace, no ID documents, no intimate photographs.
Keep conversations on the platform initially
Our messaging keeps a record and lets us act if something goes wrong.
Be cautious about urgent financial requests
Emergencies, visa fees and travel money requests are classic scam scripts. Pressure to move fast is itself a warning sign.
Meet in public places
Arrange first meetings in busy public places, make your own travel arrangements, and tell someone you trust your plans.
While using Purely Matched
Block
Blocking takes effect immediately. A blocked member can no longer message you, and your conversation is closed to them. You can unblock someone later from your settings.
Report
Every profile and conversation has a Report option. Reports are confidential — the member is never told who reported them — and each one is reviewed by a moderator.
Unmatch
Changed your mind about a match? Unmatching removes the connection and closes the conversation from your inbox.
Privacy controls
From Settings you can hide your profile, control who can contact you, and delete your account or request your data.
You can report: Fake profile · Scam or fraud · Harassment · Sexual harassment · Impersonation · Financial solicitation · Inappropriate content · Suspicious behaviour.
If something feels wrong
Trust your instincts. If a member asks for money or financial assistance, pressures you, or makes you uncomfortable in any way, report them and our moderation team will review it confidentially. Asking another member for money, travel money, visa fees, gift cards or cryptocurrency results in immediate removal from Purely Matched. Our messaging system automatically flags this language and warns both members. Purely Matched is a dating community — it is not a route to a visa, immigration sponsorship, financial support or a guaranteed marriage, and we will never tell you otherwise.
Reports are always confidential and reviewed by a real person.
